Sorry,

No I didn't,

Baptism pre 1840 can be SUPER tricky to find but the fact that the family baptised Michael there is a good indicator that all the family were baptised there.

Lackagh is pronounced LAK......AHHH

Hi Tara,

I haven't checked this site for ages but was so happy to see what you have found regarding the marriage of O'Grady/Hynes. This has been a drama for a long time and you have just solved it!! Thanks so much.

Have a great day,

Warm Regards,

Hey there, I am researching James McDonald who married Delia O'Grady.  Delia O'Grady parents were Malachi O'Grady and Bedelia Bridget Hynes.  I have been searching and seem to have conflicting results in regard to the children they had and their birth dates etc. I would like to have correct information on my records..but am having a nightmare trying to work it out...James and Delia  McDonald are the Great Great Grandparents of my youngest daughter who is 8 years old.  Malachi and Bedelia O'Grady are my daughters Great Great Great Grandparents.  It would be really cool if I could have some help with this.

Awesome Thank you so much in advance..Heres hoping someone reads these boards.

Cheers Raewyn

John - 29/12/1865 by Rev. I. Williams G/P -Patrick Burke and Margaret Lardner

Thomas - ? by Rev. J. Ecuyer at Fairfax G/P Patricius McTigue and Maria Roche

Sabina - 11/4/1877 by Rev. T. Lenehan G/P Edmond Athy and A. Hanify

Timothy - 15/2/1879 by Rev. T. Lenehan G/P Phil Hynes and Margaret Kane

Regarding where they lived:

In July 1869 allotments of land went up for sale in the Milton Municipal Reserve (later to be named Fairfax) and Timothy Hynes bought No 1.Malachi O'Grady was the purchaser of No 7 allotment 19a 2r - 8s per acre ,  also his neighbours consisted of  Michael Hynes No. 4. Hi, I am interested in your information but am not sure I am reading it correctly.
I presume the dates prior to the Rev. in each case are the dates of Baptism.? Do you have the dates they were born please.?
As regards Patrick O'Grady. He was born 17 March 1864, Galway, Ireland
Died 15 November 1922, Wanganui?, New Zealand. (Haven't been able to confirm Wanganui)
That may be of some help to you.
Cheers,
