Thanx Omega

Don't think they help

I am looking for a John Tomlin abt 1784 (68 in 1852 census) non denom
Harriet [unknown] Tomlin Baptist 1794 (58 in 1852 census)
Mary Ann Tomlin 1823 (29 in 1852 census), Baptist
William Tomlin 1827 (25 in 1852 census) Baptist
John Tomlin 1831 (21in 1852 census) Baptist

William married Sarah [unknown] a Canadian and their first child was born 1849 (age 3 in 1852 census) so I assume the Tomlins came to Canada prior to 1847-8 in time for William to meet, court Sarah, marry and have a child

Grateful for all your help though. I am not new to forums (or fora), but I am new to RootsChat. Seems to be a very nice community.

John and Harriet Tomlin came to Canada in 1836 with Rebecca, William, Letitia, Mary Ann, and John. They settled in Malahide Township, Elgin County Ontario.  Rebecca was married when they came here, William married Sarah Bacon, Letitia married Samuel Whiteside, Mary Ann married James Knowles (Noels), and John married Catherine Sniveley.  If you want more, just let me know!

Unfortunately it seems that Dave has not been on Rootschat for a couple of years.  He should have had a notification and you can also try sending him a personal message by clicking on the paper icon under his name but if his email address is no longer working then you will not be able to make contact.
