« on: Friday 10 September 10 10:48 BST (UK) »
Could I please have a 1861 and 1871 census look up for Susan Ann Moir born about 1852 in Marykirk Kincardine. I believe her parents may be William and Jane Moir. Thanks.

Hi Sue

I've never seen someone written as Susan Ann Moir is described as the wife's Grand Child before, I suppose to the Scottish it certainly defines each person role clearly and of course easier for us after all these years  to understand the relationship between people. If Susan Stewart is listed as Stepdaughter does this mean Elizabeth has been married before, which is interesting as Susan Ann mother was a Jane Stewart before she married William. Thanks for your help obviously lots to think about.
