Kendal Record Office - Orton Parish Register

My 5+6 xGtGrandfathers William + John Whinfield, I have just discovered, came from Orton, Westmorland. I had believed that the family lived between Coldstream in the Borders + Gateshead. William's Ordination papers showed that he was christened in Orton 30/1/1722 and his father was John Whinfield of Brackenhill.

There is not much on the IGI re the Whinfield's of Orton and, as I live in Gloucestershire, I wonder if anyone visiting Kendal Record Office could look in Orton Parish Registers. I would love to know the name of John's wife/William's mother and, if it is not too much to ask, the names etc of any siblings.
(I am wondering if there were any other Vicars in the family)

I have incomplete coverage of the Orton parish registers but have found this:

burials:
11 August 1716: Margaret the wife of late John Whinfield of Brackenber [this might be my misreading - I need to check but can't do this now]
31 May 1744: John Whinfield of Bracken Hill Householder

christenings:
[25] Feb 1716/7: John the son of John Whinfield of Brackenhill [number is hard to read but the entry comes after one on the 11th]
[   ] Apr 1720: Isabell the daughter of John Whinfield of Brackenhill [can't read number]
30 Jan 1722/3: William the son of John Whinfield of Brackenhill
22 Feb 1740/1: Hugh the son of John Whinfield a soldier

marriages:
14 May 1715: John Whinfield and Elizabeth Powley

So it looks like Elizabeth Powley might be your mystery woman and that John's dad might have been another John?

William & Jane have a daughter called Elizabeth, born 4yrs after they married, she has 2 elder brothers, maybe there was an elder sister too - so it all seems to fit.
