Edward Sievers was a member of the same family. His father, Andrew J Sievers, was a son of John William Sievers, Peter's younger brother. Andrew and his wife emigrated independently of Emily. Edward became Land-Valuer General for NSW. His son Noel was a brillant scholar who was killed in action in WWI

I don't understand a date of 1790 - should that be 1890? Otherwise this is not related.

Ruth - are you a relative of Augusta Thicknesse? Another member of the family in Australia has compiled a 45 page tree of Augusta's family, which may be of interest.

Clarification: the marriage of Eliza Willson was to John William Sievers, of course  (Not Andrew)

Hi Pavane

thanks for all the info.

I am loosely related to Emily Sievers (Thickness) via a marriage.  My great great grandmother's brother Thomas Fletcher married Elizabeth Wilhelmina Jessie Sievers, Emily's cousin

I've got them pretty much okay backwards, but it was just finding Emily forwards that was causing issue!  ;D
