The Watersheds, Brecon
« on: Thursday 30 September 10 22:02 BST (UK) »
Hi Chatters,

Someone has asked me about an address, No 9, The Watersheds, Brecon. I have never heard of this place. It sounds like temporary buildings to me. It may be in the 1911 census, with a Joshua Dunstan living there.

Here are my queries,

1. Can some kind soul, with access to 1911 census, look up Joshua Dunstan possibly living in Brecon, for me. He would be aged about 60 years. he had a wife Susan. They were both Cornish by birth. They possibly lived at The Watersheds, Brecon.

2. Does anyone know where The Watersheds was in Brecon?

Many thanks,

Cochiaid

Hi
1901 census Rg13/5169/6/4 9 water works hut Llanfrynach Brecon-this village is 3miles SE of brecon and is on the banks of the Usk and Breconshire canal.
Have looked up later census for the address and it does  not show up. Because the Dunton's were stone contractors could it be they where living in temp accomadation and doing repairs on the canal or bridges in the area?
I also see on the 1901 census Susan is on her own with her two sons and daughter , I don't see Joshua?
cheers cardiff :)

To all in the Watersheds chat : I have just joined when I came upon this conversation via Google ??
I am very interested in this because the persons in the chat i,e Joshua Dunstan and family are my relatives !! He was actually my Great Grandfather, but I have failed to connect the families move to Blackwood Mon, because he was there at my Grandfathers wedding..circa 1914..
