I found Sarah in the 1910 census with husband Edward, 24, born in England, immigrated 1887. She immigrated about 1908 and they have been married about 8 months. I couldn't find her in any other census, and I couldn't find Mary Elizabeth. That's hard without a married name.

Thanks for all the information, Kath.
It all seems to be the right family.
You must have worked very hard on this.

William,

I've come across Rebecca Peoples in my search for family ancestors.  She married James Johnston on March 30 1908 in the Church of Ireland in Upper Moville.   Ballyrattan was a townland in Upper Moville.

James and Rebecca were my husband's grandparents and they remained in Ballyrattan and had 9 children.  Rebecca died in 1944 aged 57.   I've only just started researching the Peoples' link so would be interested in any other information you have on her parents?

Maureen,

Rebecca's father was John Peoples, who was born on January 23 1848, and married Margaret Baird on December 29 1870.  His father was George Peoples who married Mary ?  John had a sister Margaret, born September 11 1843, a sister Anne, born August 18 1845 and a sister Mary, born May 29 1855.  There may have been more brothers and sisters.

Rebecca had 9 brothers and sisters.  One of the brothers is my grandfather.

William,

Thanks for the info - sorry it's taken so long to get back - if your grandfather and Rebecca are brother and sister, then you and my husband are cousins (second?).

I have the family tree from Rebecca down and some information on the family that remained in Ireland if you are interested.  My husband's mother remembers Rebecca corresponding with her family abroad.

Thank you for the reply. I would be very interested in your family tree from Rebecca down. I am also very keen on finding any family member's address in America.

Would like to hear from WilliamM and MaureenJ.  My grandfather, George Peoples, emigrated from Ballyrattan in 1896.  Eventually ended up in Boston area.  He is Rebecca Peoples oldest brother.  WilliamM, you and I are second cousins.  Which of John Peoples and Margaret Baird's children was your grandparent?
