Hi- My family came from that area. Grandad was called Isaiah and he was a miner who walked along the railway line looking for work to Cannock and then in Hanley. Bit of a long shot- a jones in Wales but I am stumped now. So glad of any hekp. Thank you.

I'm new to this list and have just seen your generous offer. I hope you can still help. I am looking for (dare I say it) Jones! Edward Thomas and his wife Mary Lloyd. They lived at Bryn Celyn and were married in Holy Trinity church in 1845. I am afraid I don't know when they died, I am just hoping you may have found the couple there. As far as I know they had one son Thomas Lloyd Jones with the possibility of a second son John.
I  don't thik this is much to go on, but thanks for the offer.

Hi Carol. Sorry I am a bit late in replying but it's the first time today that I have checked my mail. Here Goes.     In Affectionate remebrance of
                                   Mary
                 the beloved wife of Edward Jones
                        of Bryn Celyn Farm
                who departed this life Feb 21 1887
                               Aged 67 years
                        also the above named
                            Edward Jones
             who departed this life April 14 1890
                         aged 71 years.

They are in Grave No E 14 which is on left hand side of the Path from the Front Gate to the Door of the Church.  Close to the Wall.  Sorry I don't have any pictures only inscriptions in the booklet. You say his wife Mary was a Lloyd. There are also Lloyd's buried in Gwernaffield as well.  Pam

This information brings together various bits and pieces and confirms the family in many ways. That is so great.

I might get back to you about the Lloyd's when I find a few more details, but in the meanwhile Thank you so much.
