1841 & 1851 Censuses Norwich Edward Mitchell
« on: Thursday 07 October 10 19:28 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Edward Mitchell was born in Norwich on 21 March 1790 & baptised 27 March 1790 at St. Martin at Oak, Norwich, Norfolk.
I wonder if someone can locate him in the 1841 & 1851 Censuses please? He had siblings Frances, John, Thomas, Ann & Henry, all baptised at St. Martin at Oak, Norwich.
I have not been able to locate him myself on these censuses and wonder whether he was a convict, transported to Australia?
Yours, Quester.

FreeReg shows he died in 1793 - bur.10/5/1793 St. Paul, Norwich son of Daniel Mitchell and Eliza. (nee Taylor) which concurs with the baptism entry.   Shown as infant son.    Both baptism and burial states family were Paupers.

Hi Annette7,
Thank you so much for that, I am very grateful, so he was not a convict after all!
