willis family hellidon

I really need help finding any records for George Willis born 1856 hellidon. His parents/ father's name would be great.
I know he married a Emma Darlow in 1883 and had 6 children, but have not much on birth and nothing on death record.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi plan321,

Census entries are easy to find after he Marries Emma but before that not so.
(except the 1871)

I think you will find he is the illegitimate Son of Mary;
George WILLIS, Christened 02 April 1854, Hellidon, Northamptonshire
Mother MARY Willis, Residence Hellidon

Looks like she had a MARY ANN Willis, 11 May 1856, Hellidon as well.

Mary Ann is living in Long Buckley in 1871 as a Servant age 14 which is a bit of a coincidence as George/Emma are there in 1891.

It is likely that Mary married and the Children are on the 1861 Census under her married name.
I will scout around and see if I can find anything.
Otherwise the Marriage Cert as Pam provided may be the way to go.

I just wanted to confirm that there is no marriage at the Parish Church
of Long Bucky for George as I have them to 1889.
