Hello,my name is Luke Clark,one of the daughters of Emma Willis,is my great great grandmother,she married Fred Booker from West Haddon.there is a lot of family around the surrounding areas, My grandparents raised a large family in Brixworth.

My Willis line also comes from Emma and Fred Booker. I have had a lot of trouble with finding anything about the Willis family so if you have any info to share that would be great.

Hi, I notice this thread ended last year but i'm hoping some of the contributors are still here.
I believe that the William willis born 1837 died 1903 to be my gg grandfather, he married sarah flowers in 1858.

The problem I am having is tracing his actual parents, I keep seeing other peoples family trees online with a john willis and Sophia cherry who are apparently his parents but there is absolutely no trace of anyone with these names being married. Yet there is a john willis and Sophia who appear with William as their child in the 1841 and 51 census in hellidon, Daventry!

The only marriage I can find for a john willis around the right time is to a sarah line in 1814. 
I would appreciate anyones help as I have hit a brick wall.

John Willis and Sophia Cherry were married in Fringford, Oxfordshire, on 21 Aug 1820.

Sophia says in 1851 that she was born in Stratton Audley, Oxfordshire, which is close to Fringford, which makes sense.

Thanks for that info trish, I now have john and sophias marriage record, this is still a little confusing though https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J77B-W32 a Sophia cherry and Benjamin heming had a daughter harriet, christened june 1820 in fringford Oxfordshire!
