Hi Mo

Not sure if you're still looking but I have found the following:

Children of Thomas and Elizabeth Freear christened March

Thomas 26 July 1790
Rebecca 6 May 1792
John 23 Apr 1794 (assume he must have died pre 1807)
William 28 Feb 1796
Elizabeth 24 Jun 1798 buried 16 Aug 1801
George 25 Aug 1800
Ann 5 Dec 1802 buried 18 oct 1804
John 5 Apr 1807 bur 21 Feb 1808 age 11 mths

Elizabeth Freear late Ward buried 29 Nov 1820
Thomas Freear buried 25 mar 1847 age 83

No marriage for Thomas and Elizabeth and no christening entries for either of them.

Thomas appears to have remarried following the death of Elizabeth:
26 April 1824 Thomas Freear widower and Eleanor Barnes widow

They appear on the 1841 census in March
Thomas Freer 70 weaver Not born in county
Ellen Freer 70 born in county
Dont forget ages were rounded down to the nearest five so Thomas could have said 74 to the enumerator

Hope it helps

Good luck

David

Thank you so much for that information.... nearly all new to me such a help

you have removed a number of bricks from the wall...

I recently visited March for the first time and got the e-mail address for the local vicar... hope that he can help too

An emotional feeling to have walked through a village that my ancestors lived... a church that they probably were married in and baptised their children.  the graveyard that they may be buried in... all in all a wonderful few hours..

Thanks again

Mo
