Yes Samuel was a lovely man, he married Margaret Clint who was born in Cockermouth. They lived at 178 Hart Street, quite near the Blowick end as I recall. I remember sitting in the back bedroom watching the trains go by. They used to drink in the Blue Anchor pub. I used to be sneaked in there as a little boy and a great fuss was made of me. One of the regulars (Alec McKenzie) even bequeathed his silver tankard to me.
