trying to trace a petrosemoli

Hi I have being trying to trace a distant relative for some time now and i am at a loss his name is Giovanni petrosemoli he was born in 1840 in Rome i believe he was a Garibaldi . i have traced his records in the UK but i cannot find any immigration info or anything more before his marriage in the UK

any leads would be appreciated

what do you mean with "i believe he was a Garibaldi" when his name was Giovanni Petrosemoli ?

"I believe he was a Garibaldi" probably means he might have been a follower of Giuseppe Garibaldi.
