I did a lookup of marriages in Qld and found a John Gemmel married Millicent Kerr in 1923.. is there a possibility that there is someone on the electoral roll with John Curry Gemmell?

There is an obituary coming on NLA site re the John Gemmell who died in 1931 apparantly he worked for fox Gibson.  It will interesting to see if it has his wife's name when it is available.

Another search on "family search" had the 1931 death as John Currie Gemmell wife Matilda, again it is a submitted entry so I have to keep searching.   
 I have read the funeral notices and death notices for John Currie Gemmell, wife Matilda for 10 April 1911 for John Senior!

Hi Cheran,

Yes  agree that yours died 1911. I think the other Johns are interred at North Road. I can't see a death for the wife of this particular John and he seems to be buried alone. (If of course he is the John buried alone at North Road.)

Unfortunately the stone is not listed here though John and James are. 
The one who died in 1953 wife Ellen. I see their marriages. John and James father was Robert.

married about 1861 to Mrs Matilda THOMAS nee PARKER. Her parents were Hugh and Eliz. She was born about 1843 at Highercombe SA and died 20 July 1922 Nth Adelaide SA buried WTC

William George Gemmell Herraman is my Grandfather, his mother is Martha Matilda Herraman.
My grandfather went by the name of George, born 19/07/1907 - 9/04/1992 aged 84.

Yes George was married to Dora Elvira Herraman, (nee Behenna) everyone knew my Grandmother as Elv. She passed away 1/09/1979. They had 5 boys David died at birth we believe, Donald, Terence, Trevor my father and Gregory know as Bruce.
