I have recently had a marriage cert back and found out the father of my ggg. grandfather Evan Walters was called Walter Walters i was wondering if anyone could help me find out some more info on him, birth or marriage?

what dates and which Parish are we talking about for Evan and Walter?

Do you have any other records for them, and how did you find out that Evan's father was called Walter?

Father = Walter WALTER
Mother = Mary

Evan b. 1926 so Karenlee could be right here :)

got the name off a marriage cert for Evan Walters to his wife Selina Lloyd made in 1855.

Say's that Evan was a labourer from Wanfach? And Selina was from Mydrym.

Would there be a census around 1831?

For 1831, some details were collected but mainly head-counts, with few still existing. see link:

It can be difficult to trace people before 1841 census and pre-1837 civil registration, especially people who did not own or lease property. Parish records are the best option but not easy with a common name.
