Inglis of Fordyce and Banff
« on: Saturday 30 October 10 16:38 BST (UK) »
I've been working on my husband's family and have got definite links back to Alexander Inglis who was born in Fordyce in 1820. From the 1841 census I believe his parents were John and Janet (frustratingly his death registration doesn't name them).  The only John Inglis I can find was christened on 14th May 1786 to William Inglis and Elspet Milne.  However, I note there was another John Inglis on the 1841 census who was married to Betty (Elizabeth).  Does anyone out there have any knowledge on which John was married to Janet?  Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks.

Welsh person, I know it's years since your posting, but you mentioned William INGLIS & Elspet MILNE. They had a son James INGLIS in Braehaugh, Fordyce in 1783. Do you know of him?
