I've just purchased two wrong birth details, I'm getting no matches in the advanced search, what details did you use? The more detail I type in, I get no matches, and fewer details the wrong matches  ???

To see the extracted records on familysearch which mention Michael & Patrick, try this link

 Births, 1864-1881

Select the advanced search option, enter last name Kealy, father Michael, mother Mary Heffernan (see screenshot below)

You can use the reference numbers included in the results to help locate the correct civil index references needed to order birth certs. These will show a bit more details such as place of birth, residence of the family, father's occupation, etc. Ballingarry as mentioned on the records could be the sub-registration district rather than the actual town.

see :
 Ordering Certs from GRO Roscommon
Details included on a Birth Cert

Hi,
Just to confuse the matter I am a Heffernan ggrandaughter of Michael Heffernan. and Margaret Hennessy. Who came to Australia from Tipperary on The Lord Stanley in 1856. I believe this Heffernan Kealy could be a connection to mine and will follow this chat with interest. Oh have you tried the immigrant ships list from Tipperary.

Lozza1
this info. below is your people on the ship.

HEFFERNAN   Margaret      1850   32   Tipp / Tipp   John / Alice  HENNESSY   nil given xx   {wife of Michael,38 + 6 children}   Ship =   Lord Stanley
HEFFERNAN   Michael      1850   38   Tipp / Tipp   Thomas / Margaret   both dead   Brother = Thomas   Ship =   Lord Stanley

This info. was from a sheet I came across some 8 years ago just by chance.

There is only 1 Kealy listed .......
KEALEY   Mary      1855   24   (Tipp)   James/Helen  LYNCH   both dead *With husband =   Michael,20,of Kilkenny .  A sister in   Brisbane .    ship = Conrad
They married on the 6th Feb 1855 just before they went to Australia. She was Lynch.
Kilkenny and Tipperary are next to each other.
The marriage was in the Parish of Kilfane Kilkenny, this is to the east of Ballingarry Tipperary.
Her sister is too hard to find, as she may have been married when she travelled.
This Kealy may not be yours.
