Hi there,
To find out who lived in your house you need,if it was built in 1871,to either visit your local archives which,in your case, will be in Ruthin, to check the cenuses,or,alternatively you can check the 1901 census on-line.Once you have the names of the occupants from then you can then check the 1881 census via the Latter Day Saints web site to see if they were occupying the house in 1881.
Click the following links:
www.familysearch.org
As for info on Bryneglwys:
www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/DEN/Bryneglwys
Depending on when the house was completed/occupied,you may also get info from the 1871 census.
best of luck.

Hello Sammykins,
I am assuming that you do not have the deeds of your house.
Perhaps your morgager could provide you will copies of the conveyances (Probably be a charge) Censuses are Ok but they only give you a ten year snapshot.
Incidentally on the 1881 census you can click on the next household so once you have found any person in Bryneglwys, you can keep clicking until you find your house.
Regards..Eldon.
