Thank you for your replay I am delighted to meet you as I have  very little information on that side of my family tree even though my mum is still alive the last of her generation she would not help me but I struggled on to find out some information yes you are right John's first wife was Elizabeth Byrne and they were married on 4th September 1911 in Ballyvaris Moone Co Kildare  I cant find John Birth Cert  but I did find a record for a family of Careys in Dublin with the fathers name Michael and Mary Anne for the mother they had 6 children but I don't know if they are the right family maybe you can help me with this information I would love to see the photos that you have if you could email them to me email address removed by moderator if you have any questions please ask and if I have the information I will be very happy to share it with you or look for it for you Pauline

I am a direct relative of the Careys who owned the barbers on the main street. He was my great grandfather,  and John Carey was my Grandad.

I am a direct relative of the Careys who owned the barbers on the main street. He was my great grandfather,  and John Carey was my Grandad.

Is this John Carey in Athy in the 1901 1911 Irish census?
House 6 in William Street (Athy Town, Kildare).
