Cheshire Memories from the Chester Chronicle
Some interesting stories here. One picture shows the Shrewsbury coach outside the Grosvenor Hotel in around 1875.  There is also a story about when the old Marston salt mine, near Northwich, was the unusual setting for a grand dinner held in honour of the Tsar of Russia in 1844.
