Melapage you say Richard was abandoned by his father yet he goes to New York with him
and is on the ships list arriving with his father back in England in 1932,
I am unsure of the Roy arriving in Scotland with Agnes in the same year

Perhaps abandon was not the right word.  I am now aware that my father did go to NY with HF Page a couple of times I think before the age of 5.  My mother has told me that my father was adopted by a family in London, who I vaguely remember meeting.  He missed not having his father around and always felt alone apparently.
