Hasting Fitroy Page
« on: Sunday 21 November 10 17:46 GMT (UK) »
Hi Folks,

I'm looking for any additional information from this census. The person who kindly provided it doesn't have access to the full census record.

I believe that the family emigrated from England an 1930 - would their entry details be available
on line?

Census - US Federal 1930 … New York » KINGS » BROOKLYN BOROUGH » 24-1282 » Sheet 13A

Page, Hasting F (Fitzroy) (b: 1892*)
Household: Page, Agnes M (b: 1903*)
Page, Richard (b: 1927*)
Hobson, Doris (b: 1903*)

Many thanks

Hi Sandra,

Doing the very best - and you?

Doing this bit of research for a friend. Her aunt was Agnes Margaret Page nee Heyburn known as Peggy. Family history has it that Peggy meet an Alexander Blair - I think a US citizen - on her trip across the Atlantic and ultimately left her husband for him. Agnes and Hastings must have divorced because she went on to marry Alexander and lived I think in Connecticut. So would be really interested to see the ships manifest - if available - to corroborate the story.

Nobody has any idea what happened to her husband and the child. Maybe they stayed in the states or returned to GB?

I just love trying to tie facts to the "legends"!

Thanks for the info.

Mags x

PS what is the meaning of PA and AL on the entries?

On the England & Wales death index, there's a Hastings F. Page who died 1967 at age 75.

It looks like Hastings & his son sailed from NY to Southampton, on the Berengaria arriving 26 Oct. 1932.
