You may want to contact the BC Archives at the following website with the inquiry about where divorce records are kept and how to access them.  They have a wonderful staff and are most helpful.

On a previous search I did for a Rootschatter, I came across a notation on the original marriage registration regarding divorce at a later date.  I seem to recall that included in the notation was the date and file number.  Do you have the details of the marriage registration?  I can certainly look it up if you don't.

I don't see them either, http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databases/divorce/001070-100.01-e.php , but back then there were still couples who said they were divorced or widowed on their next marriages and they weren't...The laws weren't as heavily enforced back then, obedience was slacker... This marriage also took place in another country (U.S.)
