Rees Morgan(s) Landilofawr
« on: Thursday 25 November 10 11:14 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if anyone can help me with tracing Rees Morgans who was born c1861. He married Mary Price in November 1882 in Llandilofawr and his father was given as Rees Morgan, a farmer. He was a tailor and always gave his place of birth as Lampeter, Cards., but no sign can be found at any of the Registry Offices there. Any help would be appreciated.

His birth may not have been registered.   The witnesses from the marriage cert may be of use, what names are they?

I had thought of the non-registration, but was hoping that the fact that both he and his father were named Rees Morgan(s) might have helped in pinning him down. Unfortunately the only ones I came across were a father and son from Llangyfelach. The witnesses weren't much help either, they were Daniel Davies, John Bowen (clerk) and Thomas Price, his brother-in-law. The fourth witness was the curate of the church. Many thanks for the interest.
Regards,
Ken
