CF24 4QH
with her husband Thomas Roberts and their daughter Violet Mary Roberts.
and two boarders.

In 1911 census.
Thomas Roberts and his children, Thomas was a widow at this time
Violet May Roberts born 1898
Ernest Thomas Roberts born 1902
Lillian Esther Roberts born 1904
were boarders at 43 Croft Street CARDIFF  CF24 3DY
the people who's house it was was William John Shapland and his wife Edith.

I have just found a death for a Lillian Roberts in Cardiff in Jan 1908 this might be her as she was dead by 1911.

Could well be. As it gives the age as 31 it would mean she was born about 1876 so that would fit.

She didn't make it easy to find her did she?

No she did not make it easy for me to find her, I just need to find her birth now .

Don't discount the Ada we found earlier, especially as her father was a minister and the age fits. She could well have changed her name to Esther Lillian - it seems to have been quite a common thing to do. It took me ages to find my brother in law's gx2 grandfather after the 1871 census, as he'd changed his surname to his step fathers even though he was 18 at the time.

the Rev John Bennet Stoneman that we followed before as a possible for her family, actually died in 1907 and there is a Will for him
The index entry reads -
Red John Bennett Stoneman of 6 Gatton Terrace Crickle wood Middlesex died 29 Oct 1907 Probate London to Robert John Bennet Stoneman and Thomas George Breen tea merchants.

A copy  of this Will may help - either by ruling him out altogether, or by ruling Ada out if she is mentioned and is not Mrs Esther Roberts, or it may of course confirm it is the right family if Esther Lillian Roberts is mentioned. Or it may do neither!
