I am trying to locate a baptism for Jane EDWARDs and it might appear that there is a record for a Jane JOHN which could be mistranscribed on the IGI -- I'm wondering if the name on there is actually Jane Joan and the surname EDWARDs is missing...
The IGI record I found shows a baptism date of 02 DEC 1810 in New Moat, Pembroke, Wales for Jane and another for 09 Apr 1809 with child James John.
I've also found baptisms for Lewis EDWARDS 06 Jun 1814 and Daniel EDWARDS - 04 Mar 1813 -- all four children baptised New Moat and parents noted as Rebeka[h] and John EDWARDS.
[Jane went on to marry William ROSSER ~ 1837 which has been the subject for another thread].
I'd love to know what the original records say and whether my thought that the surname EDWARDs is missing for James and Jane, might be correct and that all 4 children are same family members.
I haven't as yet, found any marriage record on the IGI for John EDWARDs and a Rebeka[h] so that would be the icing on the cake if that record popped up.....
