Hi Heywood, thanks for the info and having checked the records it does look like we are talking about the same Matthew Francis Moore, my grandfather left Ireland sometime at the beginning of the 1920's, he had 1 daughter from Ireland that I know of and she became a nun Sister Helen and also I've heard Friary Hill being mentioned in the past. KPM mentioned the Flying Corp that was actually my father Peter Norman Francis Moore...

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1915/01385/1569612.pdf

Birth of Margaret Moore, 1915, that is the only one I can see.

As I wrote, hopefully KPM will see your post too.

Are you now wanting to go back with the family?

https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/  may be of help to you.

That site shows a death for Margaret Moore, 26 yrs in 1918 but it has the wrong image. Someone may be able to work out how to find the right one to check.

Regards
Heywood

Hello Hayward
Thanks for the last reply,
I had a look at that link about Margaret Moore and the death certificate and yes James Moore was on it but it stated he was there at the death not that he was the Husband.??
Matthew Moore had I think 5/6 Brothers and Sisters one of which was named James Aiden could it be the same person?
I am just trying to find out about Matthew Moore he was my Grandfather but I know very little about him and my Father who passed away in 2001 did not talk about him although my Mum is still alive She also knows very little,
Regards..

Hello,
You are right  :) I must have been so bothered trying to work out how to view the image and then didn't bother to read it properly - sorry!

The address is Templeshannon and the address on the child's registration so presumably the same place.

Margaret Foley's address is Shannon on her marriage to Matthew so it looks very likely.

Have you seen Matthew's family in the censuses posted here?

Was he the correct Matthew??
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Chevynova says so in replies #9 and 10. What do you think?
