Still trying with this family can anyboby trace where Margeret Skillings is before 1871   I' can't find her in any more cences  many thanks magic

think Peter is actually 56, as he is 46 in 1851 (in Birds Court, Newport). He is also a widower, so he either remarries and loses another wife, or young Elizabeth of 1861 is perhaps another of Margaret's

George may have been involved in a bit of bother. the Welsh Newspapers Online site doesn't appear to be fully functioning today, but the search results are bringing up mention of a case against a George Senior, mineral train guard, who I think let off the vacuum brake of a train as part of the troubles in the Taff Vale railway strike (1900)

Hi'       Bit confused with Margeret Skillings of Scotland                                                                                                                                                            (Who does end up with  Robert Senior of Stalbrigde  Dorset  as his wife )                                      Skeland!  A name change ? for Margeret .
 But also love to know more on George and his train . thanks for any  help .

Spelling was a little unsettled in those days! When did Robert and Margaret marry? i can see a marriage for a Robert and a Sarah Skelling in Pontypool - with matching couple on 1871 and another in 1875 for Robert, but the only Margaret listed is a Margaret Lavender (and there are more women then men, so something awry on freeBMD)

Sadly the newspapers site is still down - will try to remember to post a link when it's working

Just had a check on 1871 cences  to make sure of spelling etc   also it reads unmarried when she was with Robert Senior  just cant find her on anything else before 1871. Thankyou for your help but still puzzled .
