The marriage records in B.C. were found on this other thread but it's possible Margaret and sister Annie did not stay in Canada- years of birth are just estimates:

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi

I can lookup the BC marriage registration for Margaret Caldwell and Johan Gustaf Malkan in the New Year and give you a transcription of the document.

I have found Johan Gustaf (age 38) and his sister Hregga (age 31) on the 1916 Manitoba, Sask and Alberta Census living on a farm in Daysland, Alberta.  He is a farmer and she is a housekeeper. Both are born Sweden; he immigrated in 1902 and was naturalized in 1906 and she immigrated in 1907.

On the 1906 I found a possible entry transcribed as Gust Malcom, age 28, born Sweden, immigrated 1902 farming in Daysland, AB.  Seems to be the same land description for both the 1906 and 1916 entries.

Found him on the 1911 Canada Census as Gust Malkan with pretty much the same inforation as the 1906.   You can search the 1911 Canada Census free here if interested.  Select the split screen to see the original census image at the top and transcription below.

Perhaps Johan Gustaf and Margaret returned to the farm in Daysland after their wedding in BC in 1923.

Susan

Hi Jeni63

So sorry for the great delay.  I've finally got the transcriptions for the marriages for Margaret and Annie ready to send to you.  If you would send me your email address via PM, I can get these away to you.

Thanks.

Hi Jeni63

An old post but was intrigued to see if I could find Johan here in Sweden:
You may already have this info.

Johan left for Wetaskiwin, Canada in 1902.
Freja Mathilda left for Wetaskiwin, Canada in 1909.
Emmy left for Montreal, Canada in 1909.
Tara left for Barlow, Canada in 1908.
