Alice Small-Marriage

An Alice Small is listed on Free BMD as having married in the Market Drayton District in 1882.However the listing does not apparently say who she married.Can anyone tell me who she married please?

I've been tryng to find her on subsequent censuses using both surnames and relevant spouse's first name but,  so far, it's not looking promising   :-\

Just found them on the 1901. I think - in Market Drayton - It was James Matthews:

Could she have been married before so down with a different surname  :-\

I'm checking just for an Alice, b.c. 1858 - will report back if I find anything  :)

In any event JL this is all rather speculative as I am looking for any info on three Small sisters who were born in Stockport.Emily(1857),Alice(1860 and Mary(1863).

They were the daughters of a Charles Small born in Stockport(c1829-1871) and a Mary Lea born in Whittington Shropshire in c 1830.Alice is showing with her Grandmother in Whittington in 1871 and Mary is living in Drayton Hayles in 1881 with her Uncle.

As my names show it is the Lea family that are my relatives.
