Felix or Patrick MULVANEY, Antrim
« on: Wednesday 22 December 10 18:22 GMT (UK) »
Felix Mulvaney (born c1814) departed Glasgow for Auckland New Zealand in 1865 on "The Resolute".  His age was put down on the passenger list as 41 (though his death certificate would put him at 51 on the voyage).  With him were wife Mary (38), John (18), Elizabeth (16), Sarah (14), Jane (7) and Mary (2).   His occupation in New Zealand was a farmer.

Felix's father was Patrick Mulvaney from Antrim and his mother Rose Mackay.
Felix Mulvaney's wife was Mary MARSHALL (b1823 d1897).

As I cannot find him on English or Scottish censuses, and the ship left from Glasgow, it does look as if he was probably from Antrim.   Is there much hope of finding anything more on the Irish roots?
