Kia ora, Welcome to the New Zealand Board,

We want to help you find answers to your questions, but please read the following housekeeping rules first.  ;)

Please note that Rootschat is obliged to comply with date restrictions set by New Zealand Birth, Death and Marriages to ensure personal privacy. You may only post BDM information if it meets the following criteria:

Births: 100+ years ago
Marriages: 80+ years
Deaths: 50+ years ago OR the person was born 80+ years ago.

Any information that does not comply with these date restrictions will be deleted to protect personal privacy.

Please include the SURNAME you are researching in the 'Subject' line. This makes it much easier for anyone answering your enquiry to find your post again.

Please do not include the names of living (or possibly living) persons or email addresses in posts. Rootschat policy requires that these be removed to ensure personal privacy and to avoid spamming. If you come across either of these please advise me immediately via the Report to Moderator button, including a message and the URL of the post concerned. Thanks.

TIP: Locking your thread is not recommended, as it means that people finding your post via a search engine may not be able to contact you.

Happy hunting,

Spades
