has anyone researched the whitecross family from Dundee, James whitecross was born around  1840, his daughter was Margaret whitecross born 1882 married to Alfred Lambert they had a son william lambert born 1910 in dundee. 

Any help most gratefully received, i would love to have  some Scottish roots !!!

the 1851 and 1881 census returns look to be for 2 different james whitecross's

think we will need to establish the correct family

thanks ev, yes i'm a bit confused at the moment, its looks like james ( born in aberdeen)  was married twice, sarah james was his second wife, and their daughter was margaret born 1882 in london.

Not sure where to go from here any suggestions.?

Hi cousin!  :),
My GGG Grandfather was Caleb Whitecross 1838-1893 who had a brother James Whitecross born 1840

Their parents were Peter Whitecross 1818-1880 and Isabella Allen born abt 1816
