Hi, are any of you related to Annie Truss of Paston? Many years ago I bought an old book at a jumble sale in Paston and I rediscovered it in my attic the other day. The inscription inside says "Annie Truss, for good conduct and regular attendance at the Bible Class from K. Robinson, Paston Rectory October 1899. Someone, presumably Annie, has written a poem in pencil inside the front cover. I would like to reunite it with Annie's family so please send me a message.

Hi Jaymi
Annie Truss is my great grand aunt, so a tie in there, I have just come back onto the site so sorry that I cannot give the full history that I have at moment. I will look further into this as obviously I have dealt with the paternal line, but will come back with a family line for you.

Hi Roger,

Thank you for your reply. I love researching my own family tree and I know I would treasure one of my ancestor's possessions if anyone found it, so I'd love to give it to someone in the Truss family who would appreciate it.

Regards,
Jayne

The Trusses must have been a book-loving family, who looked after their books! I'm reading a book about another family who were born and lived in my neighbourhood. It's very interesting; "The Descendants of Thomas & Rose Ann Mould of Peterborough, England." I wonder if the Trusses knew them as they went to the same church?

Regards

Jayne

OK re Annie, we have my second great g/f William Truss b.1838 To Ann Jakes. They had a daughter Ann Truss b. 1879. ON the 1981 census the family are recorded as living in Paston, so this puts her in the area ,the right church and possibly the right age for attending the school.
Hope this helps.

Hi Roger, thank you very much. I didn't know if Fenlander wanted the book as he says in this thread that he lives opposite Paston Church, which is just up the road from me! Are you local too?

I live in Spain, but was also baptised in Paston church along with my family...would agree that Fenlander seems the choice... off to UK now for Xmas just down from the church.
