Hersant Family of Middlesex
« on: Friday 07 January 11 19:38 GMT (UK) »
Have just started research on Hersants who lived in the St Pancras area in the mid 1800's ( Charles, Thomas, George). Would love to hear from anyone with information to share.

Thanks Carole. So far I have a fair bit of the census information from 1841-1911 but no birth, marriage or death records. I have been able to trace our family tree back to Charles Joseph Hersant who was born about 1791. His parents may be John Hersant and Mary Unk. That is one of the things I'm trying to establish.  It seems John and Mary were buried at Bunhill Fields in the early 1800's.

Hi,
William Henry Anderson Hersant was a furniture broker and latterly a night patrolman - but it looked like neither worked out for him...

I think it would be well worth looking at the 1821 PCC will of John Hersant, uphosterer, of Moorfields:

Wow! Thank you, everyone for all that information. That certainly gives me a few more leads to follow up on.
