In 1851 Census Mary is born c 1788, Leicestershire and it is possible they Married there.
Or she could be a Second Wife given the 10yr age difference.
Daughter Sarah, Age 12 in 1851 was Baptised as below;

Parents CHRISTOPHER and MARY
Fathers Occp Labourer

Christopher HAMOND and family were living in Washingborough in 1841. 

Neither Washingborough nor Ropsley are close to Asgarby. ... However, there was
1805 Ropsley
Matthew HAMMOND to Mary HAYNES - that must be the family that Trish found

I cant find them in 1841 and it appears that no one with them in their Tree can either!
But the 1851 census appears correct;
