this is a great thread Althea.

It is amazing what a second (or 3rd, 4th, 5th) set of eyes can do for a brickwall - different spellings, search techniques, resources etc has really shed light on things for a lot of people. I know that it is easy to give up when you hit a brickwall but all it takes is a little success and you are on your way again.

Keep up the great work!     :)

Hi Kiwi Girl
I am the Grandson of Henry Cheetham Jackson  What has been posted so far is fairly correct.
I have heaps more info if you require it
I would be interested in your connections with this family tree.
I also have a brick wall - I cannot find what happened to Catherine (Kate) Elizabeth Jackson, Henry's older sister (b1846). I know see was in NZ in 1915
Cheers
Richard
