Scott family
« on: Monday 17 January 11 19:14 GMT (UK) »
hi, does anyone have any information on the Scott family. Katie Paton Scott married Hugh Joseph Clarke in 1941 at New Cumnock. Her father was possibly  William Scott, and her mother possibly Jessie Paton  who married at Dalrymple c 1913, although this is not yet confirmed. I would be grateful for any help. regards Del.

Exactly what sort of information are you looking for now? Didn't you get the marriage certificate as suggested in November?

Jessie was born in 1889, we think at a place called Hollybush, Dalrymple,  in Ayrshire........so in 1905 would have been about 16 years old.......as far as we can tell, she had no middle name........Del.

Thank you - I had a lady of same name in an autograph belonging to my great aunt but doubt very much that there was a connection.
