Headstones In MARKINCH CEMETERIES

There are 3 Cemeteries in Markinch

Old Church Yard Cemetery I have some Photographed stones
1799 to 1854

Northhall Cemetery  230 Photographed stones
1854 to early 1900s

St Dronstans Cemetery  1300 Photographed stones
This cemetery is still open for burials


If you care to supply me only with the names of the
Husband & Wife eg.

Robert MITCHELL  & Janet   BARCLAY

I will check my index and if there is a stone I will supply you
With the Inscription and a photograph of the stone if required

Hi Steve  sorry nothing for them, but I was also checking this couple for someone else & found this on the FFHS pre 1855 Cd

hi Norrie,thanks for checking,i thought it would be long shot.I did know of the couple you mention although John was the one from Bonnybank buried 1815.Do you think its possible they were buried at Kennoway as that seems the nearest to Bonnybank and Bagriebank ?

Hi Steve     there is an Old Churchyard Cemetery in Kennoway
with stones from mid 1800 to late 1800s

there are 2 Mitchells stones

John Mitchell farmer at Duniface died March 1818 and spouse
Catherine Melville died June 1796

George Mitchell died 1864 age 72 & Janet Swan died 1867 age 63
Children David George & Janet

yes Kennoway is nearest

Can you help with details/images please for :
John Low Hutchison d. 14 Sep 1933 and his wife Christina Drummond d. 19 Dec 1937 and are buried in St Drostans

Their son George d. 13 Feb 1888 age 4+ and is buried in Northall.  If you have that too, it would be a bonus!

I have over 16,000 in 23 fife cemeteries
