As Forforian said, go to scotlandspeople website for v useful info re wills, testaments & inventories to 1901 (handy for getting free hints to some probable death dates too).
April 2011, ScotlandsPeople merged with NAS to become the National Records of Scotland (NRS). They have recently merged some pricing & payment methods, so rather than £5 sterling flat price for any such doc, it is now 10 credits (credits as on SP) ie about £2.33, half price. It was always a bargain esp if you had many pages. And now it is a steal!
