i Have a few names in  Hull western cemetery  that i would like to look up and  would feel to cheeky to ask  as they very  yes very common names .

hi  would you look in your book for  John crosby Robinson  he died 1900  a fellow research from roots chat is going to photo the grave  for me but i would love to know  more..... i know he's in a family grave and   well i don't have death dates for  most yet but the surnames were TURNER, ROBINSON, CONE, SCREETON

There are no Robinson's in my book but there are 3 entries for :

This is spooky...I have ancestors who lived in two of the Streets :o

thanks for looking for me  don't think  them cones connect to mine  will have to do some more work....i so which  the western cem had an index on disc like leicester one is lol would make researching easyer from a distance lol

Hi Neil....Some more Monumental Inscriptions for Western Cemetery.

Hi Carol, many thanks for those!  John, Thomas, Mary and Ann all feature heavily in the naming games my family played, so they may well all turn out to be relations.  Both Marmaduke and Strickland Streets have also already popped up on censuses!!  Thank you so very much.

Hi again Essenchill

I happened to be in Hull last week to help my Mum and Dad but also got chance for some ancestry hunting. I popped into the cemetery but unfortunately there was no sign of any stone for your Thomas :'( Most of the headstones in that compartment have gone and it's just grass now.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
