Hi Anne
Wow! no I didn't know about all this, neither does anyone else in the family,
Didn't know my Grandfather had ever been to Canada (maybe he was just saying that as an Excuse?)
He was a Doctor of Divinity & interestingly was living with my Grandmother before 1889 when their first child was born. They got around to marrying in 1907 after the birth of their third child.
I would love to PM you, if I knew what it was, how do I do this?

Andrew Craig Hamilton was almost definitely telling the truth about Canada.
He had been in New Brunswick

Hi, I appreciate this is a really old post, but if by any chance you are still doing look ups on Hamilton Old Churchyard I'd appreciate a look up.  I'm looking for the burials of my 5xg.grandparents - John MORE and his wife Elizabeth (Bethea) PURDIE - I think they probably died 1841-1878, but I've been unable to find their death records.
Many thanks ... Ann
