Hi all,I wonder does any know of an easy way to get information  from Irish parish records through the internet,or any other way.

Some church records are online but many are not- really depends on religion, date and the particular church. Do you have any particular churches/areas in mind? You can check under resources for the particular county to see if any links have been found.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hello Aghadowey,Im afraid im not sure of the parishes all i have is the areas of Brownshill,and Ballinacarrig,as for the date it is 1852,the information i am trying to get is the christening/baptismal record of Patrick Crowe,he was R.C.

Will move this thread to CARLOW board and hopefully someone will be able to provide more information as to which church/churches these places involve and where to check for records.

Some Church of Ireland records for Co. Carlow are available on the website at www.irishgenealogy.ie, but no sign of RC records at the moment.

Ballinacarrig is just to the south east of Carlow town and is in the RC parish of Tinryland - see : link (Irish Times)

I dont see Brownshill as a townland - is that a district in Carlow town ?

details of RC records for Carlow (town) parish - link

All the RC records are available on microfilm in the National Library (Dublin). I think the RC details may be added to the IrishGenealogy website at some stage - but they dont specifically mentioned the plans for Co. Carlow at the moment.
