St Anthony's of Padua,Walker

My mother [doris hart b. 1909] was educated at S.Anthony of Padua RC school, Walker, which i belive was attched to the church, she was the first head girl, and had her name inscribed upon the school honours board, which i belive is now situated in the church, can anybody check this out for me, and if possible take a digital picture of same;or maybe advise, i now live in france so travel is expensive

School Log Book:

Miss Hennessey will be absent all the week.  The Mistress will work between the third and fifth classes until the teacher's return.  The door into the yard is locked today.  There is a car travelling up Welbeck Road and is dangerous to the children.  This is the first time a car has gone up Welbeck Road. July 1908.

doesn't seem to be much on school but there are contact details given so may be worth using those.

My Great Grandparents Henry Newbold DIXON and Maryann GARRIGHAN married at the St Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Walker in 1899. This thread has been interesting, thank you.  :)
