Parish record wording
« on: Tuesday 01 February 11 14:23 GMT (UK) »
I have a Wick parish marriage contract record of 1761 and after the details of the couple to be married, it states 'John Finlayson caution for the man and Donald McLeod for the woman'
Can anyone please tell me what the word 'caution' refers to?
Thanks, Cynfran
