If she was born c1877 Margaret's birth should be listed in civil registration district-

I though you probably had the births of the other children but the fact that John (1872) was born in a different area may mean you'll need to widen your search.

Hi,
The 1857 marriage was in Drumballyroney Church of Ireland, Banbridge and the groom's name is given as AGAR, probably a misspelling. The Edgar/ Molloy marriage was in Downshire Presbyterian Church, Newry and the bride had been married before and her maiden name appears to have been Legate.

Agar is a spelling variation of Edgar- same surname. Edgar sometimes also written as Eager and Egar.

Thank you
How did you find the Edgar/Malloy marriage in Downshire Presbyterian church and the maiden surname Legate. I can't seem to find it

Hi Patjohn, The towns that are nearest to Rathfriland are Banbridge and Newry. I see in one off the replies that there is a ref. to Drumballyroney COI. This church is just a mile outside Rathfriland.
 Cheers,   Sam.

Hi,
I can find a birth for Margaret Edgar whose father was W. Hamilton Edgar in Co.Down. However the birth was in 1897 and the mother was Elizabeth Martin

Regards

I am new to rootschat so hope I am doing this right. May I ask about the birth record quoted from WH Edgar and Elizabeth Martin. This family is part of my research and I have not found this record before. 1911 Census mentions 6 children born with 4 living. I have only found records for the 4 living. If possible could you please give me a point in the right direction to find Margaret born 1897. Thank you.
