                Thank you for this info  i have been doing my winchester tree for a few years now . and never had the info you sent me.
   My grandfather had a couple of medals but not sure what he got them for  is there any chance you can check them out for me please.
    i would be grateful if you can send me the copies of john Winchester's asettation papers and the info on my grandad.

   forgot to say john and jessie winchester were my g grandparents. jessis maiden name was rose it was her mother who had the maiden name groat
     it was john who had the middle name thomson .my grandad had no middle name.
      may i ask if you can look up a john winchester b 1832 elgin  i know he was in a scottish regiment i am guessing this one but i think he was out by maybe 1853 as my g grandfather john was born that year illigit.

John Alexander Stewart 216083 pte. R.E. born at 37 tolbooth street Forres 6th of sept; joined at Forres 11 Dec 1916 Son of John Alexander and Jean Stewart,Benromach Distilery Cottages Forres Occupation Barman.

it didnt give his year of birth  Norman

Hi there is only one George Tough could this be him.

George Tough No 241960,Sgt born at Inchberry,22nd Nov 1894,joined at Garmouth,4th Aug 1914,served in France,awarded Military Medal 28th Oct 1918, Occupation Farm servant.
