Think I have found Frances too

1851C Badwell Street, Badwell Ash, Suffolk  (very close to Langham)

William 1813 & Frances 1823 LUMMACE
children:
George 1835, Robert 1837, William 1840, Henry 1844, Mary Ann 1847, Ellen 1851 (2 months).

I think only Ellen is Frances' child as in 1841 William LUMMIS - Badwell Ash is married to Ann (nee Buckle married 25 Oct 1831 Badwell Ash) but an Ann Lummas appears to have been buried in Langham on 25 Oct 1849.

FreeBMD records the following marriage:

William LUMMAS/Frances CORBLE Mar Qtr 1851 Ref: 12/601 Stow District (Badwell Ash & Langham were both in Stow Reg Dst at that time).

by 1861 the family are at Long Thurlow, Badwell Ash
with 3 more children
John 1856, Freeman, 1858, Philip 1861

in 1871 still in Long Thurlow with 3 more children:
Emma 1864, Frederic 1866 & Harriet 1869

At a quick look I haven't found them in 1881 but they may be hiding!

Thank you so much Keziah, that's a huge amount of information - just need to slot it all in now!

The names of John Corbell and Amy Boothey's children here in Australia were:

James, Jane, Johanna (my connection), Sarah Elizabeth, Mary, John, Thomas Boothey, Fanny, Amy, Emma, Emily, Louisa Amy, George William Henry and Rachel.

Quite a range of names!

Well those names certainly could be considered as similar to his family names in England - hopefully you have the right Corbell's.

Good luck

Adding my thanks as well.

Mary is my entry into the Corbell family. She was born at Creep Mouse Gully. Don't you love some place names  ;D

I know its 800 years apart but is it possible the Corbell name came from the 1st Archbishop of Canterbury (c1070-1136) William de Corbeil or am I 'royal gazing' ( and to those who ask..he had 2 brothers  8)  )

This might help a bit more :)

I also found this entry on pilot family search:

John CORBEL bpt 7 Jan 1800 Watersfield son of George & Mary Corbel.  John  1826 father perhaps.

Just to follow up on this for those searching.

I was stumped on Johns mother Mary as most sites had Mary Lovick . I have come across an extract on Ancestry ( not a tree  ;D ) that says John was born Nov 25 1799 and baptised on the above date 7.1.1800 to George Corbel and Mary DAUGHTER OF ROBERT LUBBOCK OF MELLIS/h Suffolk .  This extract was from a Non-Conformist register. I then checked the online non-conformist register and a Robert Lubbock is noted as grandparent of 3 Corbel/l children including John (1799)

This of course is will mean nothing to me if I have taken a wrong turn  :P :-[ :'(
