My Goodness!    This looks like them

I have names of children     Emily   born  1819
                                            Robert "       1822
                                            Keziah  "       1827
                                            Henry    "      1831

Sarah must have had first 3 children before she married ??

I can,t wait to get up in the morning and see what I can find.

Thankyou so much.  You have made my day.

Am guessing you don't have access to the census so ..................

1851 Woodside Green, Lenham, Kent

William EDWARDS head mar 52 ag lab b.Charing Kent
Sarah wife 62 b.Otham Kent

HO107/1618 folio 231 page 15
.................

Looking for any Sarah born Otham about that time there is a Sarah MOORLEN (parents Stephen and Jemima) 1786 which just may fit with Sarah MOORLAN m John INKLEY 1803 at Maidstone http://www.familysearch.org - something to check out anyway ???

Thanyou so much  :)  I really appreciate your time and effort.

Looking at maps, they stayed around the same area.

I did have a "hunch" about that Sarah Moorlen married to John Inkley, just could not make the

connection . With your help I may now  be closer to to doing that.

I got a copy of the Kent parish Registers and Sarah Inkley's 4 baseborn children are listed as follows.
Baptised 17/10/1819 Emile Son of Sarah Inkley Baseborn
Baptised 10/11/1822 Robert Son of Sarah Inkley Baseborn
Baptised 10/11/1827 Mary Daughter of Sarah Inkley Baseborn Widow
Baptised 20/3/1831 Henry Edward son of Sarah Inkley Baseborn.

The discrepancy is that we had Emile as Emily and Mary as Kezhia. Can anyone shed any light on what is correct.

Also do you know where I might get the Bastardy records for Hollingbourne Kent from, as these might show who the fathers were of these children.  I am a descendant of Robert so he is of particular interest to me.

Where did these baptisms take place and do you have photocopies of the actual parish register or bishops transcripts would you know?

I got a CD from the Kent Family History Society transcribing parish registers.  The baptisms were registered in Hollingbourne Kent, so I assume only one church in this area. I don't have photocopies.
